Education: I graduated from North Carolina State University in 1996 with a BA in History. After teaching and coaching two years at South Johnston High School, I moved to Morganton, NC where I taught 7 years at Freedom High School. While in Morganton, I attained a MA degree from Appalachian State University, National Board Certification (NBPTS) AIG/AG North Carolina Certification, and Advanced Placement certification. In 2006 my family and I decided to return to Johnston County and live in Princeton, NC. Since that time I have spent the last 6 years at West Johnston High School. I have been club sponsor for Key Club, History club, Outdoor Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Chess Club. I have taught every course required for graduation in North Carolina and have begun many more.

When I am not at school I am with my lovely wife and three beautiful children. We live here in Princeton, NC and our children attend schools in Wayne County. My wife is Speech Pathologist for Wayne County Public Schools. We are members of Fellowship United Methodist Church in Princeton and are actively involved in our church. Yep, Life is pretty good!

When I get the time I love to cook, play chess, watch TV, road trip, or just hang out with my best friend: My wife. I thoroughly love to run, bike, and compete in  Ironman Triathlon when I get the chance.
